REFLECTIONS ON CONTRIBUTION OF EACH MEMBER

WEEHAN

Wee Han is always willing and ready to listen to our ideas, making the group a conducive and collaborative environment. She is always sharing updates with us and actively seeking opinions from every member of the team so that everyone feels part of the decision-making process. Her input on the outer packaging and the ad video shows that she is committed and careful. She is extremely quick to reply to comments, meticulously iterating on her designs based on the comments. Her ability to stay organised, communicate clearly, and take initiative has been a great asset to the team, helping to keep our project on track and cohesive.

CHARMINE

Charmine is our most efficient team member who always completes her work ahead of time with excellent time management. Being able to maintain her concentration and keep tabs has helped us progress steadily throughout the project. She's also good with coming up with excellent ideas and suggestions in group discussions. Whether developing the poster concept or merchandise, she creatively thinks through her work. In addition, she's always willing to make changes based on feedback and is never afraid to help those in need. Her reliability, strong work ethic, and creative ideas have been significant contributions to the success of our project.

TYRA

Tyra helped solidify the personality of our brand. Her design for the logo also set the tone for the brand, bolder, simpler, and slender. She even approached the internal packaging responsibly, ensuring each of the various sizes of tampon and pads have a different design that's highly recognizable. She also brought some ideas/ concepts or insights we had not considered yet, adding depth and value to our project. Working with her has been a smooth and inspiring experience, and her contributions have truly elevated the overall outcome.

FINAL REFLECTIONS

Experience

Working on Major Project 1 with my group was a very fulfilling experience. We had great communication and teamwork from the start, which made the entire process go smoothly and make it fun. We had varying strengths between each of the members, and we supported one another through every step of the project. Our brainstorming was not only productive but fun, and everyone felt open to contributing. Despite the challenges that came with revising and refining our work based on feedback, we tackled them together with a shared sense of purpose and determination.

Observation

Throughout the project, I learned that flexibility and collaboration made a big contribution towards our progress. Collaborating with an attentive team, one that is capable of adjusting, as well as staying optimistic in spirit, allowed us to overcome even the more challenging tasks. I also learned that design is never truly done, constant iteration and feedback are necessary for improvement. In addition, being part of such an open team made possible closer relationship and mutual trust between members, which manifested as a smoother work environment.

Findings

One key finding from this project was the importance of understanding audience sensitivity, especially when working with topics like menstrual products. Feedback from our lecturers highlighted how elements like colour choice and packaging presentation can significantly influence perception. We also found that shifting product ideas, such as replacing stickers with pimple patches or resizing vending machines that can lead to more practical and thoughtful solutions. Overall, the project has shown us that through strong teamwork, continuous refinement, and empathy toward users, we can create a meaningful and impactful design outcome.
